🚀 REVENUE & FINANCIAL OPERATIONS MANAGER

San Antonio, TX | Full-Time

💰 $70K–$85K BASE + UP TO $60K IN ANNUAL PERFORMANCE BONUS OPPORTUNITY

TOTAL CASH COMPENSATION OPPORTUNITY: UP TO $130,000

This is NOT a traditional accounting job.

Most finance roles are focused on reporting what already happened.

This role is about understanding the numbers, leading people, influencing decisions, and helping determine what happens next.

Mister Sparky South Texas is looking for a business-minded financial leader who can bridge Finance, Operations, Sales, and Leadership.

We need someone who can look at a P&L and understand the story behind the numbers—but who also wants to get out from behind the spreadsheet and help improve the business.

If you enjoy leading people, solving problems, analyzing financial performance, collaborating with sales, and helping a growing company make smarter decisions, this could be the opportunity you've been looking for.

⚡ WHO WE ARE

Mister Sparky South Texas has been serving homeowners in the region for more than 40 years.

We're building an organization around integrity, accountability, exceptional customer service, and continuous growth.

We're not looking to simply fill a position.

We're looking for someone who wants to grow with the company, take on increasing responsibility, and develop into a financial executive.

We call it the APEX Team for a reason.

We're building toward the next level—and we want leaders who want to get there with us.

🎯 WHAT YOU'LL OWN

💰 Financial Operations

You'll be responsible for understanding and managing the financial health of the business while helping Leadership turn financial information into action.

  • Own the monthly financial reporting and close process

  • Deliver accurate monthly P&L and financial reporting

  • Maintain accurate Balance Sheet and financial records

  • Oversee general ledger activity, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close

  • Monitor company expenses and accountability to established budgets

  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning

  • Monitor cash flow, AR, AP, collections, and key financial indicators

  • Identify financial risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities

  • Develop scalable financial processes as the company grows

  • Translate financial information into clear recommendations for Leadership

  • Help Leadership understand what the numbers mean—and what we should do about them

👥 LEAD PEOPLE. BUILD THE TEAM.

This isn't an individual-contributor finance position.

You'll lead and develop members of our Accounting Department while building the systems and accountability necessary for growth.

  • Lead, manage, and develop AP and AR team members

  • Establish clear expectations, deadlines, and accountability

  • Lead weekly EOS Level 10 meetings

  • Maintain department scorecards and KPIs

  • Coach team members and develop future leaders

  • Improve processes, systems, and workflows

  • Create a culture of ownership and problem-solving

  • Hold people accountable while helping them become better at what they do

We're looking for a leader—not simply someone who knows accounting.

📈 FINANCE MEETS SALES & OPERATIONS

This is where the role becomes different.

Finance isn't sitting on the sidelines.

You'll work directly with Leadership, Operations, and Sales to help the company increase revenue while protecting profitability.

You'll have opportunities to:

  • Identify revenue being lost or left on the table

  • Analyze completed, closed, and collected revenue

  • Support customer financing solutions

  • Identify ways to improve financing approval rates

  • Research lenders and innovative financing programs

  • Help Sales understand the financial impact of their decisions

  • Analyze pricing, margins, expenses, and profitability

  • Identify operational inefficiencies affecting financial performance

  • Help Leadership evaluate growth opportunities

  • Balance revenue growth with financial discipline

  • Make recommendations that directly impact company performance

We want someone who is curious about how the entire business makes money—not just how the books are maintained.

🧠 WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We're targeting a mid-career professional who has built a strong financial foundation and is ready for significantly more responsibility.

You may come from:

  • Financial Operations

  • Finance Management

  • Accounting Management

  • Business Operations

  • FP&A

  • Revenue Operations

  • Commercial Finance

  • Financial Analysis

  • A combination of finance and business leadership

You could be a strong fit if you:

  • Have approximately 3–7 years of progressive finance, accounting, or business operations experience

  • Understand P&Ls, Balance Sheets, financial reporting, and accounting fundamentals

  • Have experience with month-end close and financial analysis

  • Can look at financial data and explain what it means to the business

  • Are comfortable leading people and holding them accountable

  • Communicate confidently with employees, managers, Leadership, and Ownership

  • Enjoy solving problems rather than simply identifying them

  • Think strategically but aren't afraid to execute

  • Understand how Operations and Sales affect financial performance

  • Are comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment

  • Are coachable, adaptable, competitive, and growth-oriented

  • Want to build toward a larger financial leadership role

Education & Credentials

A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is preferred.

Equivalent progressive experience will be considered.

CPA is NOT required.

We're more interested in your financial capability, leadership ability, business understanding, character, and potential than a collection of letters after your name.

🚫 THIS IS PROBABLY NOT FOR YOU IF...

  • You want a traditional accounting position

  • You prefer to work independently with minimal interaction

  • You want your responsibility limited to reporting

  • You resist change, technology, or new ideas

  • You believe "that's not my job"

  • You identify problems but don't want to help solve them

  • You struggle with accountability

  • You want a slow-paced corporate environment

  • You aren't interested in leading people

  • You want compensation completely disconnected from company performance

💵 YOUR EARNING OPPORTUNITY

$70,000–$85,000 BASE SALARY

PLUS UP TO $60,000 IN ANNUAL PERFORMANCE BONUS OPPORTUNITY

TOTAL CASH COMPENSATION OPPORTUNITY: UP TO $130,000

This isn't a role where your earning potential is capped at your base salary.

The opportunity to earn more is directly connected to business performance and your ability to help drive it.

The performance bonus is tied primarily to achieving established Completed, Closed & Collected Revenue goals while maintaining financial discipline and P&L accountability.

Your work in financial operations, forecasting, accounting leadership, financing initiatives, sales support, expense management, analysis, and business recommendations all contribute to the company's ability to achieve those goals.

When the company grows, you have the opportunity to grow with it.

If you're looking for a position where you can make $70K–$85K and simply do a job, there are plenty of those.

If you're looking for an opportunity to earn up to $130K while developing into a financial leader, we should talk.

📈 YOUR CAREER PATH: TOWARD CONTROLLER

We're intentionally not hiring a Controller today.

We're looking for someone who has the potential to become one.

As the company grows, this position is designed to grow with it.

You'll have the opportunity to expand your responsibility across:

Financial Operations → Business Leadership → Controller-Level Responsibility

You don't need to be ready for the Controller seat today.

But you should want to earn it.
