We are seeking an experienced Senior Field Service Engineer to support our North American customers in the Phoenix, Arizona area. This position is ideal for an engineer with hands-on experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting semiconductor capital equipment in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Field Service Engineer to support our North American customers in the Phoenix, Arizona area. This position is ideal for an engineer with hands-on experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting semiconductor capital equipment in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
What You’ll Do
As a Senior Field Service Engineer, you will provide advanced technical support for complex electro-mechanical semiconductor manufacturing equipment at customer sites.
Key responsibilities include:
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and support complex semiconductor capital equipment.
- Diagnose equipment failures and determine corrective actions to minimize system downtime and production interruptions.
- Perform equipment installations, relocations, start-up, qualification, and customer acceptance activities.
- Execute field modifications, equipment upgrades, Continuous Improvement Projects (CIPs), and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
- Lead or support customer escalations, technical task forces, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop and present escalation action plans, technical findings, and status updates to customers and internal teams.
- Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and instruction to field service engineers and technical support personnel.
- Provide on-site technical instruction to customers, subcontractors, and colleagues as needed.
- Support projects of limited scope and duration, including planning, coordination, and execution.
- Maintain accurate service documentation, equipment records, technical reports, and customer activity reports.
- Stay current on ACM equipment, technology, procedures, technical manuals, and factory updates.
- Partner closely with engineering, applications, manufacturing, and customer teams to resolve complex equipment issues.
- Represent ACM Research professionally and build strong, trusted customer relationships.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Engineering, or a related technical field with 4+ years of relevant experience, OR
- Associate degree with 8+ years of relevant semiconductor equipment experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Hands-on experience with semiconductor capital equipment installation, maintenance, repair, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.
- Experience working in semiconductor fabrication facilities and cleanroom environments.
- Strong knowledge of complex electro-mechanical systems.
- Ability to independently diagnose equipment issues and drive problems through resolution.
- Experience supporting equipment installations, qualifications, upgrades, and field modifications.
- Strong customer-facing communication and technical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead technical escalations and coordinate cross-functional problem-solving efforts.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and accuracy.
- Ability to establish effective working relationships with customers, engineers, and internal teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and relevant data-analysis tools.
- Ability to comply with customer-site safety, security, and cleanroom requirements.
Physical & Travel Requirements
- Ability to work for prolonged periods in a semiconductor fab environment, including standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, and sitting.
- Ability to wear required cleanroom garments and personal protective equipment.
- Ability to travel up to 20%, including international travel when required.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid passport.

Compensation: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
