About the Role:
Herb's Garage in Costa Mesa, CA is looking for a motivated and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our team! This is your chance to be the face of a trusted auto repair shop, guiding customers through their vehicle service experience with confidence and care. Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and serve as the primary point of contact throughout the vehicle service process
- Listen to customer concerns, accurately document vehicle issues, and create detailed repair orders
- Communicate repair recommendations, timelines, and estimates clearly to customers
- Coordinate with technicians to ensure timely and accurate completion of services
- Follow up with customers on vehicle status updates and obtain approvals for additional repairs
- Upsell recommended maintenance services and parts to support shop revenue goals
- Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints with professionalism and a solutions-oriented mindset
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Service Advisor, Service Writer, or in automotive customer service preferred
- Strong knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance terminology
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced shop environment
- Experience with shop management software or point-of-sale systems is a plus
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Positive, team-oriented attitude with a commitment to customer satisfaction
