About the Role:
Fratellinos Italian Restaurant in Brea, CA is looking for a talented and passionate Prep Cook to join our kitchen team! Responsibilities:
- Prepare and portion ingredients according to recipes and chef specifications
- Chop, slice, dice, and marinate meats, vegetables, and other ingredients for daily service
- Assist in the preparation of house-made sauces, pastas, and Italian staples
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation throughout each shift
- Properly store and label food items following FIFO and food safety standards
- Assist line cooks and kitchen staff during high-volume service periods
- Monitor and replenish prep inventory to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Requirements:
- Prior experience in a prep cook or kitchen role preferred
- Basic knife skills and familiarity with kitchen equipment
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards (ServSafe certification a plus)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes consistently
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs

Fratellino’s Italian Restaurant is the premiere Italian Restaurant, now at 600 S. Brea Blvd., Brea, CA. After 10 succesful years doing business in Fullerton, they relocated their business to Brea. They’ve moved just 6 blocks North (on Brea Blvd.) from the old location. The new location has more seating and parking, a Banquet Room and a Patio. Like always, they offer “Excellent Food and Service at a Very Reasonable Price”.
