About the Role:
Lost & Found Restaurant in Pittsburgh, PA is looking for an experienced and passionate Service Captain to lead our front-of-house team to excellence. This is your opportunity to be the heartbeat of an exceptional dining experience, guiding guests and staff alike through every memorable moment.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate front-of-house service staff during shifts to ensure seamless dining experiences
- Greet and engage guests, managing table flow, seating, and overall guest satisfaction
- Train, mentor, and motivate servers and support staff on service standards and best practices
- Communicate effectively between the kitchen and dining room to ensure timely and accurate food delivery
- Handle guest concerns, complaints, and special requests with professionalism and urgency
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, specials, wine, and beverage offerings to assist guests and staff
- Uphold restaurant cleanliness, organization, and service standards throughout each shift
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in a fine dining, upscale casual, or high-volume restaurant environment
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience in a front-of-house role preferred
- Strong knowledge of food, wine, and beverage service etiquette
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team leadership skills
- Ability to remain calm, composed, and solutions-oriented in a fast-paced setting
- RAMP or equivalent responsible alcohol service certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
